Perennial with a branched woody stock. Stems decumbent at the base, later erect, retrorsely puberulous, more than 25 cm. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, very fleshy, mucronate, glabrous, the cauline with sterile shoots in their axils. Inflorescence apparently a panicle. Calyx c. 9 mm, crisped pubescent, contracted towards the apex in fruit. Petals white, bifid, 8-10 mm. Anthophore 1-2 mm, hairy. Capsule ovoid, semewhat acuminate, included in the calyx. Fl. 7? Salt steppe, c. 900 m.
Endemic; Ir.-Tur. element of obscure affinities.
