Differs from S. conica in being distinctly glandular-viscid, at least above, and from S. sartorii in its erect stems, linear-lanceolate, acute leaves, and from both in its wider petals and longer anthophore . Fl. 5-8. Steppe, roadsides, 100-1500 m.
