Branched annual herb, erect or ascending, 10-35 cm, usually with some glandular indumentum, occasionally glabrescent. Inflorescence irregularly cymose, often monochasial below. Flowers sessile or shortly pedicellate, alar flowers rare and then with pedicels less than t the calyx, usually solitary, sometimes in fascicles of 2-3. Calyx 12-14 rom, usually glandular. Petals 12-15 mm, bifid, the lobes entire, pink. Capsules 10-12 mm. Fl. 5-8. Stony places, open fields, etc., nr. s.I.-2000 m..
