Procumbent glabrous perennial with wiry stems rooting at the nodes; flowering shoots ascending, 15-30 cm. Leaves linear-terete, 10-15 mm, on sterile shoots expanded at base into a broad membranous spur, imbricate, on fertile stems with smaller spur, more distant, glaucous, withering in summer. Inflorescence corymbose, lax, 4-10-flowered. Flowers 6-10-merous, pedicellate; sepals ovate-lanceolate, 3-4 mm, acute, glabrous; petals yellow with red mid-vein, 6-8 mm, patent; follicles glabrous, erect. Fl. 5-7. Pinus forest, scree, etc., 100-2000 m.
