Stout erect perennial with a tuberous stock; stem usually simple, 30-80 cm. Leaves orbicular-peltate, 3-7 cm diam., crenate; cauline leaves ovate-deltoid to ± linear, dentate. Inflorescence racemose, simple or more rarely branched. Flowers ± erect; pedicels 1-2 mm; sepals 3-4 mm; corolla tubular, 9-14 mm, greenish-yellow , lobes narrowly lanceolate, acute, about as long as tube. Fl. 6-8. Rock ledges, valley slopes, etc., 900-2300 m.
