Irregularly branched shrub to 25 cm; plant canescent. Leaves usually in whorls of 3,3-4 x 0,8-1 mm. Inflorescence terminal, 1-4-flowered, with purplish, reduced leaves at the base; pedicels 8-13 mm; bracts and bracteoles 1,3-2 mm, towards middle of pedicel. Flowers 5-merous. Sepals 3-4 mm. Corolla pale purple, urceolate, 5-6 x 3,2-4 mm, slightly pubescent, lobes 1,1 mm. Stamens 10; filaments 2,4-4 mm, bent, appendages absent; anthers 2-2,5 mm, dehiscing by long, introrse slits. Ovary 5-locular, pubescent; style impressed, 3,5-4 mm. Fl. 7. Cedrus libani forest clearings, calcareous rocks, c. 1750 m.
