Erect scapose perennial with branched woody caudex. Leaves c. 20 cm; leaflets 7-22 mm, narrowly oblong, sometimes wider towards the base, with a rounded or slightly retuse apex, adpressed simple-canescent, c. 25-paired; stipules 12-14 mm, narrowly triangular-lanceolate. Peduncles 15-30 cm. Inflorescence a dense, globose to ovoid, 30-40-flowered spike. Bracts c. 6 mm, linear. Calyx 10-12 mm, tubular, black and white lanate; teeth 2-4 mm, linear. Corolla dark pink; standard 12-15 mm. Legume c. 10 mm, densely lanate; beak c. 4 mm, curved. FI. 5. Rocky slopes, 1300-2150 m.
