Erect, branched perennial, 20-40 cm. Leaves imparipinnate; leaflets 3-6-paired, broadly oblong to ovate-oblong, 8-24 x 5-15 mm, ± coriaceous, horny-dentate, mostly subcordate at base, sparsely pubescent with short glandular hairs. Stipules dentate. Peduncle 1-2-flowered, with a subulate awn 4-12 mm. Bracts toothed, c. 1 mm. Flowers 18-20 mm. Calyx strongly gibbous, 10-12 mm. Legume oblong-ellipsoid, c.25 mm, glandular-villous. Seeds c. 3, obscurely warty. FI. 6-7. Abies cilicica forest, Pinus nigra forest, 1000-1340 m.
