Erect to sprawling, spiny shrub, 30-100 cm, with opposite branching, older branches with prominent pulvini. Leaves 3-foliolate, subsessile, alternate or opposite; leaflets 5-10 x 1-3 mm, narrowly oblanceolate, adpressed-hairy. Flowers in short terminal racemes. Lowermost bracts subfoliaceous, uppermost much reduced; pedicels 1-2 mm; bracteoles less than 1 mm. Calyx 2,5-5 mm, sericeous. Standard 7-14 mm, broadly ovate to rhombic, sericeous. Legume c. 9 mm, ovoid-acuminate, adpressed hairy, 1-seeded. FI. 3-5. Rocky limestone slopes, macchie, Pinus nigra forest, 10-800 m.
