Differs from G. albida in having flowers in terminal, subcapitate clusters, and prominent bracteoles, 1-3 mm, borne just below the calyx. Leaves densely patent-hairy on both surfaces. Fl. 6. Macchie, coniferous forest, limestone rocks and grazed slopes, 600-1500 m.
Endemic. Ir.-Tur. element. Closely allied to G. albida.
