Procumbent to ascending annual, 10-30 cm. Leaves long-petioled to sessile, cauline; stipules ovate, the free portion with a subulate-setaceous tip. Inflorescence 0,8-1,0 cm, globose, 15-30-flowered, sessile. Calyx 10-nerved, teeth triangular-ovate, recurved. Corolla pink, c. 5 mm, exserted from the calyx. Fl. 5-6. Fallow fields, river banks, among rocks, etc., s.l.-200 m.
