Stems 35-60 cm, erect, sometimes creeping and rooting at the base, glabrous, eglandular. Leaves in main stems 20-45 mm, triangular-ovate to semicircular, free and cordate-amplexicaul to perfoliate, glaucous. Inflorescence pyramidal, many-flowered. Sepals oblong, obtuse to rounded, glandular-ciliate. Petals 9-14 mm, sometimes red-veined. Capsule ovoid-subglobose, rostrate. Fl. 5-6. Margins of fields and fallow soil, 570-1280 m.
