Stems erect, 25-40 cm, shortly glandular-pubescent and often eglandular-pilose. Cauline leaves cordate, 15-25 x 15-25 mm, crenate-dentate, densely tomentose beneath with stellate and longer simple hairs. Verticillasters many-flowered. Bracteoles linear-subulate, exceeding calyx tube. Calyx tube 7-10 mm, ribbed, undivided part of limb shortly infundibular, 6-8 mm broad; teeth 10, unequal, 5 longer ones patent, lanceolate-subulate, 5-7 mm, 1.5-2 x length of 5 shorter subulate teeth. Corolla purplish , 12-15 mm, upper lip densely stellate above. Fl. 7-8. Rocks, c. 1900 m.
Endemic. Ir.-Tur. element. Related to B. rotundifolia.
