Similar to D. austriacum L. but with undivided leaves, those of main stem narrowly lanceolate, of axillary shoots linear, subsessile; verticillasters 6-flowered, forming a dense terminal head, rarely the lowest verticillaster remote; bracteoles entire, acuminate; calyx with upper lip divided to 2/3; corolla violet-blue or dark blue, rarely pink, 24-28 mm.
