Similar to L. peltata but lowest leaves ovate, lamina to 18 x 10 mm, crenate; bracteoles 6-10 x 2-4 mm, ovate, cuneate at base, teeth usually with very long capillate awns; corolla violet-blue , pale blue or white, 11-15 mm. Fl. 4-6. Roadsides, slopes, fallow fields, weed of cultivated land, 500-2150 m.
Widespread in Anatolia, except for coastal areas.
