Suffruticose perennial with stout woody stock. Stems simple, 10-15 cm, apparently prostrate, shortly pubescent with recurved-patent hairs. Leaves broadly linear, 8-10 x 1-1.5 mm, obtuse, emucronate, tapering near base, puberulent-velutinous. Inflorescence lax, 3-6 cm. Verticillasters 2-flowered, peduncles 1-2 mm. Floral leaves 1.5-2 x calyces. Calyx obscurely bilabiate to 1/3, 2.75-3 mm, densely crispate-pubescent, sutural veins indistinct; teeth triangular-lanceolate, lower 2 slightly longer than upper 3. Corolla probably mauve, 4-5 mm, tube scarcely exserted from calyx. Nutlets unknown. Fl. 6-7. Dry calcareous places, c. 600 m.
