Perennial, 30-65 cm, mostly branched, densely adpressed white-tomentose below, cobwebby-woolly, ± glabrescent above. Middle cauline leaves lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, 4-7 x 1-1.7 cm, finely crenate-denticulate or entire, mucronate, internodes 5-8 cm. Verticillasters 3-10, 1-2 cm distant. Middle bracts often glabrescent, yellowish, orbicular-cordate to reniform, 0.8-1 cm incl. 0.2-0.5 acumen. Calyx 6.5-10 mm, teeth linear-lanceolate, 2-3.5 mm, with dense eglandular hairs, tube with ± numerous short glands. Corolla yellow, 10-11 mm, hairy inside. Fl. 7.Dry limestone slopes, vineyards, 300-600 m.
