Perennial, 30-100 cm, simple or little-branched. Stems with spreading eglandular and shorter glandular hairs. Leaves densely adpressed white-sericeous, eglandular; middle cauline ones oblong-lanceolate to ovate-oblong, 3-6 x 1-2 cm, truncate or subcordate at base, with petiole to 5 mm. Verticillasters 3-10, 6-flowered, 4-10 cm distant. Middle bracts yellowish-green, densely glandular-pubescent, ciliate, orbicular to reniform, 1-2 x 1.5-2 cm, suddenly cuspidate . Calyx 8-11 mm, with spreading eglandular hairs and interspersed glands, teeth linear-lanceolate, 3.5-5 mm, cuspidate, with ± obtuse sinus. Corolla 12-15 mm, yellow, hairy and without brown markings inside. Fl. 7-8. Rocky slopes in Pinus brutia - P. nigra woods, c. 1000 m.
