Annual, 10-35 cm, ± branched from base, densely white-villous. Stem with short glandular hairs. Leaves ovate or elliptic, obtuse, crenate or crenate-dentate, lamina 12-40 x 5-25 mm, with spreading eglandular and , shorter glandular hairs, lower with petiole 1-3 cm. Verticillasters mostly distant, ± numerous, 4-6-flowered. Calyx 8-9 mm, ± 2-lipped; teeth acuminate, curved, upper tooth narrowly lanceolate, 2.5-4 mm, 4 lower teeth 1.5-3 mm. Corolla white, with purplish-black lips subequal to calyx. Fl. 4-6. Cultivated fields, waste places, Pinus woods, Quercus scrub, limestone rocks, s.l.-1600 m.
