Perennial, 55-65 cm, stems simple, green or yellowish, with indumentum of adpressed eglandular hairs below, glandular and spreading eglandular hairs above. Lower leaves adpressed white-silky, glabrescent, middle cauline leaves green, pilose, densely reticulately veined, linear-lanceolate to lanceolate, acute or mucronate, denticulate, sessile, 3-5 x 0.5-1 cm. Verticillasters 10-18, lowest 1-3 cm distant, middle and upper crowded. Middle bracts orbicular-cordate to reniform, 1-1.5 x 1-2 cm, with acumen 2-3 mm, adpressed-pilose to glabrescent, ciliate with eglandular hairs 2-3 mm. Calyx 10-11 mm, teeth linearlanceolate, 3-4.5 mm, with spreading hairs, tube glandular. Corolla yellow, 12-15 mm, hairy and with brown striae inside. 2n = 32. Fl. 5-8. Quercus macchie, sea cliffs, s.l-915 m.
