Suffrutescent perennial with sterile basal rosettes. Flowering stems 7-24 cm, usually unbranched and woody at base. Basal leaves oblong-elliptic to ovate-oblong, 2-5 x 1-3 cm, crenulate, apex obtuse, base cordate to subcordate, sparsely pilose to ± glabrescent; petiole 1.5-3 cm, patent-pilose. Cauline leaves 1-2-paired, shortly petioled to subsessile, similar to but smaller than basal leaves. Floral leaves subsessile to sessile, similar to cauline, 1-3 x 0.4-1.5 cm, equalling or slightly longer than verticillasters. Verticillasters 25 cm, equalling or slightly longer than verticillasters. Verticillasters 2-5, usually remote, 1-7 cm distant, 8-12-flowered. Bracteoles oblong-lanceolate, 3-6.5 mm, herbaceous. Pedicels 0.8-2 mm. Calyx sub-bilabiate, subcampanulate, 7-9 mm, softly pilose; teeth triangular-lanceolate, 2-2.5 mm, patent-pilose with glands and/or glandular hairs. Corolla yellowish, 12-14 mm, tube subexserted. Nutlets obovoid, 2 x 1.2 mm. Fl. 6-7. Crevices of vertical limestone rocks, 1350-1525 m.
