Primary branches short, half-procumbent or ± arching, flowering stems suberect, to 12 cm, hirsute with straight hairs or ±villous. Leaves 8-11 x 0.8-1.2 mm, linear, densely pilose or villous, oil dots sparse, ± colourless; margins strongly revolute, shortly ciliate from base to apex. Inflorescence a loose head, or lowest verticillasters remote. Bracts to 12 x 1.5-3.5 mm, similar to leaves, not coloured, with 2-3 pairs of lateral veins. Bracteoles 2-3 mm, longer than pedicels. Calyx 4.5-5.5 mm, pilose, with straight hairs, oil dots hardly visible; upper teeth 1.2-1.7 mm. Corolla rose-coloured, 8-12 mm. Fl. 6. Open rocky ground.
