Dwarf caespitose perennial, flowering stem 0,5-6 cm tall. Cauline leaves linear, 5-12 x 1-1,5 mm, usually glaucous, ciliolate, glandular-stipulate, the congested lower leaves and those of the sterile rosettes linear-spathulate, smaller, all with a mucronulate apex or tipped by a brown, gland-like body. Cymes ± densely 3-8-flowered, or flowers solitary and very shortly stalked. Sepals ovate-lanceolate, 6-8 mm, strongly keeled, margin conspicuously membranous and glandularciliate. Petals yellow, 15-20 mm. Capsule orbicular, 4-5 mm; beak 1 mm. Fl. 5-7. Rocky calcareous slopes and ridges, 950-2100 m.
