Perennial. Stems 6-10 cm, erect, unbranched, eglandular-pubescent or almost glabrous. Leaves linear-oblong, simply pinnatisect or pinnatifid, 2-5,5 x 0,7-0,9 cm, crenate-serrate; basal leaves with c. 3 cm petioles; cauline leaves several, alternate. Inflorescence a many-flowered, oblong, sublanate spike, elongating in fruit. Bracts oblong-lanceolate, entire or apically lobed, 7-13 x 47 mm. Pedicels erect-spreading, 2-4 mm. Calyx tubular-campanulate, 7-9 mm; tube 4-7 mm; lobes 2-4 mm, lanceolate. Corolla rose red, 12-14 mm; tube 4-7 mm, curved or clearly bent; upper lip obtuse, straight. Anthers not mucronate; 2 filaments villous, 2 glabrous. Capsule ovate-oblong, obliquely acute at apex, 15 x 5 mm, glabrous. Fl. 5-6. Streamsides, damp places, 1600-2300 m.
