Pubescent perennial, 50-80 cm. Median leaves oblanceolate to oblong, 8-17 x 2-6 cm, denticulate. Racemes dense, many-flowered. Bracts oblong-linear, attenuate-subtendrillar, mostly longer than flowers. Calyx lobes lanceolate, 4-6 mm, softly glandular-pubescent. Corona greenish-yellow, distinctly veined, 12-18 x 4-5 mm, tubulose, ± curved downwards, lower lobes c. 2 mm, scarcely longer than upper ones. Fl. 5-6. Forest clearings, scrub and roadsides, on mica schist, 800-1040 m.
