Perennial with a woody caudex. Stems numerous, ascending to erect. Lower leaves narrowly obovate to spathulate, the upper leaves lanceolate to linearlanceolate, scarcely longer than the lower leaves. Inflorescences all terminal, lax. Bracts usually shorter than the pedicels. Inner sepals ovate or narrowly ovate, exceeding the corolla, blue, pink or white, with anastomosing veins, 6-7 mm. Capsule obcordate, narrower than the inner sepals.
