Erect perennial, 50-100 cm, densely hairy and glandular. Leaves opposite or whorled, rarely alternate, petiole 0-2 mm; lamina 60-75 x 15-30 mm, narrowly ovate, without dotted glands, entire, margin ± ciliate. Inflorescence of axillary whorls of 2-7 flowers, rarely paniculate in lower part of stem. Bracts absent. Pedicels 5-12 mm. Calyx lobes 5-7 mm, linear to lanceolate, hairy, dotted with reddish glands, ciliate. Corolla yellow, lobes narrowly ovate, 9-11 x 3,5-5 mm, glandular with glandular-ciliate margin. Capsule c. 4 mm, glandular hairy and dotted with reddish glands. Fl. 5-9. Nr water and in ditches, s.l.-950 m.
