Erect perennial, 35-120 cm, sparsely to densely hairy and ± glandular. Leaves opposite or whorled; petiole 2-8 mm; lamina 50-115 x 17-32 mm, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, entire, upper surface dotted with reddish glands. Inflorescence of terminal and axillary panicles. Peduncles 15-45 mm. Bracts 2-15 mm. Pedicels 4-11 mm. Calyx lobes 4-6 x 1,1-1,6 mm, lanceolate to ovate, margin brownish-red and glandular-ciliate. Corolla bright yellow, densely glandular inside; glabrous outside, lobes ovate or ovate-oblong, 8-11 x 4-6 mm. Capsule c. 4 mm, glandular hairy but without dotted glands. Fl. 4-9. Streamsides, marshy ground, etc., s.l.-2150 m.
