Stems erect, up to 16 cm. Stem leaves divided, the segments cut nearly to the base, rarely trifid at the apex. Outer perianth segments 11-22 mm. Follicles ± straight, stipitate, 10-14 mm. Fl. 4-5. Open places, 1300-1800 m.
