Glaucous, glabrous perennial, 5-10 cm tall. Rhizome oblique, stem 1-2-flowered. Radical leaves 3-10; lamina reniform, fleshy, trilobed to t or t into crenately toothed, overlapping lobes. Sepals spreading. Petals obovate, 7-9 mm. Torus glabrous, fruiting head rounded, c. 7 mm. Achenes few, subcompressed, semicircular, 3-3,5 mm, glabrous, abruptly contracted into a much shorter, strongly circinate beak. Fl. 6-8. Limestone slopes and screes, 1800-2700 m.
