Glabrous perennial, 3-8 cm. Tuberous roots fusiform, 5-12 mm. Stem slender, 1-2-flowered, glabrous, less than 1 mm thick. Radical leaves 3-5-sect, segments linear-oblong, entire or bipartite, 1-3 mm broad. Sepals spreading. Petals 5-7 mm. Anthers 1-1,5 mm. Torus at first as long as the stamens then rapidly elongating to at least twice as long, oblong, 7-9 x 4 m. Achenes numerous, ovate-oblong, 1,5 mm, inflated, obtuse-margined, ,contracted into a straight, 0,5 mm beak. FI. 8. By melting snow, 2200-3350 m.
