Tall, sericeous perennial. Rhizome far-creeping, stout, bearing silky scale leaves. Stem 40-70 cm, many-flowered, leafy. Radical and lower stem leaves silvery, pedately trisect, segments 2-3-partite into oblong, acute, incised-dentate lobes. Sepals spreading. Petals 10-12 mm. Torus glabrous. Achenes suborbicular, compressed, 2-3 mm; beak triangular, straight, 0,75-1,0 mm. Fl. 5-6. Wet places , 650-2700 m.
