Annual or perennial herb, erect or ascending, to 80 cm. Leaves pinnatifid, segments 10-30, irregular, and often with undulate margins. Sepals 5-6. Petals 5-6, white, the limbs divided to halfway into 3 lobes, the lobes often themselves further divided. Filaments ± persistent in fruit. Capsules erect, of four carpels, 8-15 mm. Fl. 4-5. Stony or sandy places, s.l.-800 m.
