Very similar to A. orientalis and A. arvensis, but stems low, usually only to 15-20 cm; flowers distinctly shorter than bracts; corolla pale lilac to white, 2-4 mm, with tube widened in upper 2/3; lobes 0.5-1 mm;stamens inserted on lower half of limb; filaments 0.2-0.4 mm; anthers oblong-elliptic, 0.5-1 mm; mericarps 1.1-2 mm diam. Fl. 5-7. Dry slopes, scree and fields, 1300-2300 m.
