Perennial. Stems 12-45 cm, glabrous below, sparingly glandular above, green to blackish-purple. Lower leaves with 1-4 cm petiole, lamina 2-4 cm, 2-3-pinnatisect, segments narrow , ± linear, dentate. Bracts becoming sessile, linear, margin entire. Peduncle 0,7-2 cm; alar pedicel 1-6,5 mm, glabrous or sparingly glandular, shorter than or rarely exceeding glabrous, 2-10 mm bracteoles. Calyx lobes glabrous, ovate to obovate, 1,8-3 x 2,3-2,5 mm; scarious margin white, 0,3-0,5 mm broad. Corolla bicoloured, 4,5-6 mm, upper lip maroon, lower and lateral lobes green . Stamens included or subexserted; staminode reniform. Capsule 5 x 5 mm, globose, apiculate. Fl. 7. Dry rocky igneous slopes and scree, 1830-2300 m.
