Perennial, 20-50 cm. Stem terete, simple or branched, densely glandular-pubescent. Basal leaves densely papillose-hairy, eglandular, petiole 2-5 cm, lamina semicircular or deltoid, 1,5-3,5 x 2-5 cm, coarsely crenate-dentate; cauline smaller. Inflorescence glandular-hairy, branched, lax. Bracts small, ovate, entire. Pedicels 10-25 mm, ebracteolate. Calyx 2-3 mm, lobes lanceolate, acute. Corolla yellow, 10-20 mm diam., ± glandular-hairy outside, with few brown spots in centre. Anthers all reniform, filaments white-lanate intermixed with some violet hairs, 2 anterior glabrous near apex. Capsule ovate, 5-6 x 3-4 mm, glandular. Fl. 6-7. Pinus nigra forest, Quercus scrub, 1200-1500 m.

Bracts small, lower ovate, dentate, upper lanceolate, entire. Pedicels 20-30 mm, ebracteolate. Calyx 5 mm, lobes linear-Ianceolate, acutish. Corolla yellow, 15 mm diam., sparsely glandular outside. Anthers all reniform, filaments with purple-violet and white wool, 2 anterior glabrous near apex. Capsule ovate-lanceolate, sparsely glandular, 6-7 x 3-3·5 mm. Fl. 6. Quercus scrub, 1170 m.
