Shrub, 1-3 m. Twigs and naked buds with a few scattered simple hairs. Leaves palmately 3-lobed, 8-15 cm, dentate-mucronate, smooth, greenish with a few scattered hairs on the veins, otherwise glabrous. Inflorescence 6-10 cm diam. Flowers all alike, fertile, c. 6 mm, white. Drupe c. 10 mm, oval, scarlet. Fl. 6-7. Forests, amongst scrub, 500-1800 m.
Caucasus, Azerbaijan. Euxine element.
