Erect annual, 40-80 cm, loosely and divaricately branched, dark green, mostly grey-mealy. Leaves 1-3 x 1-3 cm, the lower and median rhombic-ovate, often broader than long, 3-lobed, the lateral lobes short and broad, the middle lobe broadly triangular to shortly ovate, obtuse or subacute, subentire or toothed, mucronate. Upper leaves narrower, toothed. Inflorescence irregularly branched, often contracted, glomeruli becoming mealy. Perianth segments broadly keeled on the back. Seed rounded at the margin, with radial furrows. Fl. 5-8. Waste places, roadsides, cultivated land, s.l.
