Annual, richly branched. Lower parts and the leaves with scattered long hairs, the upper part with smooth, blunt, articulated hairs. Leaves 4-6 mm, linear, semicircular, gradually transformed into the triangular bracts. Bracteoles triangular-rhomboid, herbaceous, roundly keeled on the back, weakly beaked at the apex, shorter than the perianth. Flowers solitary, regularly arranged on elongate. branches. Perianth segments elongate-ovate, with long hairs in the lower part, the apex ciliate. Wing rounded. Appendage of the connective round, punctate. Style absent or very short and thick; stigmas very short , triangular-subulate, obtuse or acute, dark brown. Seed often erect. Fl. 5-7.
