Ssp carinatum: Sırtlı körmen; Ssp pulchellum: Hoş körmen
Bulb ovoid-oblong, c. 1 cm diam.; outer tunics membranous, sometimes breaking into longitudinal stripes. Stems 30-60 cm. Leaves 2-4, linear, 1-2.5 mm broad, slightly canaliculate above, ribbed beneath. Valves of spathe unequal, persistent, lanceolate at base, contracted above into a long slender appendage, longer than pedicels. Umbel diffuse. Pedicels 10-25 mm, unequal, outer curving downwards. Perianth cup-shaped; segments dark purple or violet, cymbiform, oblong-elliptic, 4-6 mm, obtuse. Stamens long-exserted. Anthers purple. Ovary narrowly obovoid, much longer than broad. Capsule 5mm.
