Bulb ovoid, 1-3 cm diam.; outer tunics membranous. Stem 50-60 cm. Leaves 3-5, broadly linear, 10-30 mm broad. Spathe becoming 2-3-fid; valves to 2 em, narrowly triangular, acuminate. Umbel hemispherical or fastigiate, 3-7 cm diam., many-flowered. Pedicels 15-25 mm, almost equal. Perianth cupshaped at anthesis, later deflexed; segments white or whitish-green with broad, green midvein, linear, 6-7 mm, acute, apices curving inwards at anthesis. Filamentsfleshy, narrowly triangular at base, gradually narrowed above, somewhat shorter than perianth segments. Capsule 6-7 mm. 2n = 32. Fl. 5-6. Cultivated fields, vineyards, riversides, field borders, roadsides, on clay soils, s.l.-1240 m.
