Allium halfetiense

Bulb ovoid, 7–12 mm diam, 12–20 mm long; outer tunics dark brown, forming a 1.5–4 cm high collar on stem; inner tunics membranous, whitish, sometimes orange; a single scape emerg­ing from a bulb. Scape 22–43 cm high, cylindri­cal, glabrous, erect, covered for 1/3–1/2 of its length by leaf sheaths. Leaves 3–5, cylindrical, glabrous, green, up to 14 cm long and 2.5–3 mm wide; not exceeding inflorescence. Sheaths gla­brous, ribbed. Spathe persistent, with 2 unequal valves, shorter than inflorescence; larger one 6–10-nerved and 1.6–2 cm long, smaller one 6–8-nerved and 1.5–1.8 cm long; ovate at base, cylindrical at apex. Inflorescence lax subglo­bose, 2–3 cm in diameter, many-flowered, with subequal pedicels 5–15 mm long, white. Perigon and tepals variable in different individuals; per­igone long-campanulate. Tepals equal, white, sometimes light pink when dry, mid-vein green­ish. Tepals of flowers on short perigon obovate, rounded at apex, curved back, 6.8–7 × 2–2.2 mm, other tepals of flowers on long perigon linear-lanceolate, acute at apex, curved back, 2–2.2 × 6.8–7 mm. Stamens included, shorter than tepals, with simple whitish filaments, 3.75–4 mm long, below connate into an annulus 1.5–2 mm high with 1–1.4 mm long interstaminal teeth. Anthers yellow, elliptical, 1.2–1.3 × 0.75 mm, apiculate at apex. Ovary ellipsoid, white but partly tinged with green, upper part papillose with reticu­late surface, 3.5–3.75 × 2–2.2 mm; style white, 1.1–1.5 mm long, stigma tip dotted. Capsule subglobose or obovoid, with reticulate surface, 4.5–5 × 4.5–5 mm, valves obcordate, emargin­ate at apex, 4–4.2 × 4.2–5 mm, base 0.5–1 × 1.5–2 mm wide. Seed hemispherical, black, 1.75–2.2 × 3.75–4 mm.

As A. halfetiense, but differs from it by having a globose to subglobose inflorescence, 6.0–6.3 × 2.5–3.0 long tepals, 7.0–30.0 mm long pedicels, and longer valves.
