Bulb globose, c. 2 cm diam.; outer tunics papery, grey. Stem 5-10 cm. Leaves 2, linear, 2-8 mm broad, longer than umbel Spathe 0.8-1 cm, shortly acuminate. Umbel fastigiate to spherical, 3-4 cm diam., ± few-flowered, lax. Pedicels 0.7-1.5 cm. Perianth broadly campanulate; segments purple with darker midvein, elliptic or elliptic-ovate, 0.8-1.1 cm, obtuse or more often acute. Filaments triangular, 1/3-1/2 x perianth segments. Capsule c. 4 mm. Fl. 7. Rocky places, scree, c. 3500 m.
