Bulb oblong, c. 2 cm diam.; outer tunics reticulate-fibrous, produced into a long collar. Stem 50-200 cm, to 1.7 cm thick. Leaves cylindrical, 0.5-1.5 cm broad, fistulose. Spathe 1-valved, with short beak, caducous. Umbel globose, 2-7 cm diam., many-flowered, dense. Pedicels 1-2 x perianth, with white bracteoles at base. Perianth cylindrical-campanulate; segments whitish.green or white with green midvein, 4-4.5 mm, ovate-oblong, outer segments acute, smooth, inner obtuse. Stamens slightly exserted; middle cusp of inner filaments shorter than lateral cusps and much shorter than basal lamina. Anthers violet. Ovary oblong or elliptic; style 4 mm. Capsule 3 mm, included in perianth. Fl. 5-7. Crevices of limestone cliffs, roadsides,s.l.-1550 m.
