Bulb ovoid to subglobose, 1.5-2 x 1.1-1.5 cm. Leaves linear, flat in bud, 9-16 cm x 3-7.5 mm at anthesis, to 20 cmx 10 mm and recurved at maturity, apex obtuse, flat, deep green. Scape 10-15 cm. Outer perianth segments slightly convex, oblong-elliptic, 15-20 x 8 mm, inner segments flat, not flared at apex, oblong-spathulate, 8-9 x 4-5 mm, with a green patch at apex. Filaments 0.5 mm, anthers 5 mm. Capsule subglobose, 7-8 x 5-6 mm. 2n = 24, 36. Fl. 1-4. In light sandy soil in Paliurus and Ruscus scrub, light woodland in leaf-mould, s.l.-1200 m.
