Bulb 25-45 mm diam. Leaves broadly linear. 22-62 cm x 7-14 mm. Scape 25-60 cm, ±equalling or exceeding leaves. stout, hollow, compressed, 2-winged, wings with narrow hyaline remotely denticulate margin. Umbel 2-5-flowered. Spathe 25-40 x 3.5-8 mm, 1-valved. Pedicels 10-65 mm. longest equalling or exceeding spathe. Perianth segments white, with a green blotch just below thickened apex, 12-20 mm. Anthers c. 4 mm. Style slightly clavate. ± longer than stamens. Seeds black. 5-7 mm; strophiole absent. Fl. 3-6. Wet meadows, s.l. -1100 m.
