Small tree up to 7 m. Leaves deciduous, imparipinnate; leaflets 2-4-paired, ovate-oblong or oblong, 4-9 x 1,5-5,3 cm, acuminate but scarcely mucronate, distinctly penninerved, glabrous or puberulent below, at least the basal margins ciliolate, terminal leaflet usually larger than the lateral ones; rachis pubescent, terete or slightly angled, not winged. Fruits paniculate, globose, 4-6 x 4-5 mm. Rocky slopes , gorges, c. 1000-1800 m.
Egypt, Sinai, Syrian Desert, N. Iraq, Iran, eastwards to Kashmir. Ir.-Tur. element.
