Tree up to 10 m. Leaves deciduous, trifoliolate or imparipinnate; leaflets large, 1-2-paired, ovate or broadly lanceolate, acute or obtuse, mucronulate, 5-10 x 3-6 cm, conspicuously reticulate-veined, terminal leaflet as large or larger than lateral ones, sparsely puberulent; rachis not winged, hairy. Fruits paniculate, ovate-oblong, 16-29 x 9-12 mm, seed containing large green cotyledons, edible. Cultivated.
