Erect, branched annual with hispid leaves and glabrous stems, 30-70 cm. Lower leaves broad triangular, 6-15 x 3,5-10 cm, 3-pinnate; ultimate segments ovate, ± deeply lobed, 5-15 x 3-10 mm; petiole equal to or shorter than rachis. Peduncle shorter than subtending leaves. Rays 3-6, equal or not, 1,5-2,5 cm. Bracts 0-2. Bracteoles 5,2-3 mm. Pedicels 3-7, equal or not, 2-10 mm, thickened in fruit, asperous above. Fruits 4-7 per umbellule, ± ovate, beaked, dark green, c. 3 x2 mm, covered with short, antrorse spines. Fl. 5. Hedges, fields, 50-1200m.
