Stoloniferous glabrous perennial. Stem erect, sulcate, 40-100 cm. Submerged leaves 3-4-pinnate with linear lobes; lower aerial leaves 1-pinnate with 4-9 pairs of ovate-lanceolate, 1,5-5 x 0,8-2,5 cm, serrate and sometimes irregularly lobed leaflets; upper cauline leaves smaller. Umbels leaf-opposed, rays 8-20 erecto-patent, 1-4 cm; bracts numerous, lanceolate, often incised-serrate or pinnatisect; fruiting pedicels slender; bracteoles usually entire, subulate. Mericarps c. 2 x 1,5 mm. Fl. 6-8. Marshy places by streams, s.l.-1750 m.
